We should have implemented that weeks ago.

This is nuts. The only hope is that hotter weather kills or limits the virus like it did to SARS

maybe that's also why we dont hear of cases in Africa? Beside the lack of testing?

That good.  However, I do not know if the U.S. is prepared to take the draconian steps that China has done.

I certainly hope these animals put a stop to their disgusting ways and eat like normal humans. Maybe this will be the catalyst.

The rate of increase is slowing (yes it's still increasing) because China (again!) changed whatvthey consider to be an infection.  They are not using the standard that the WHO mandates, and the rest of the world is using.

No one trusts the numbers coming out of China.  Not even the Chinese.

“Recovered” literally means nothing. Virus can become dormant.

They are also not testing someone after they die and labeling many of the deaths as heart attack, influenza, etc

Leaked docs from the Shandong cdc (not the province epicenter) show that the actual daily numbers are up to 52x higher than what they reported.

And whether or not your conspiracy theory had any kernel of truth, are you specifically saying that the Chinese  government has been truthful with their published infection numbers or with the origin of this virus?

if so, youre an even bigger idiot than we think.

if not, sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up

Nonsense.

The chinese are primatives and will not change. They were spitting all over the place DURING the initial rise of the disease in Wuhan. On fucking purpose.

Not all societies are equal. Yours, if you are really Chinese, is vastly inferior.

Everything in that article has been said elsewhere.  Probably just the sun trying to increase readership.

But cases outside side of China (because their numbers are not true), shows that the virus is 2-3 times more infectious and at a minimum 10x more fatal than the flu.

The CDC has said that ~80% of cases are treatable at home and ~20% require hospitalization.  Harvard epidemiologists have said that 40-70% of the world will have the virus by year end.  Even at the 1% death rate (low end of the range) that will be 10s of millions of dead people.

More troubling is hospitals.  Even assuming all healthcare workers show up to work, in the US that would be 20+ million people, at the low end, requiring multi week hospital level care, this year. Here, there are 925,000 beds available in the entire country.  How do those people get care? What about the rest of the people who need care for other issues? The army mobilized to build field hospitals?  Who staffs them to treat 20+ million people?

china is having this very problem.  When their real numbers come out, it will show how inadequate their care was.

So yeah, if this completely runs wild, most of us will live, but the rapid death of millions worldwide will be a problem and many more will die because good care wasn’t available due to he system being overloaded.

Thanks China, for manufacturing the disease and being stupid enough to let it escape your bio lab.

5:47 pm: Germany says it can’t trace cases and is heading for an epidemic

Germany is at the beginning of a coronavirus epidemic after new cases sprung up that can no longer be traced to the virus’s original source in China, Health Minister Jens Spahn said. A total of five new cases of coronavirus in the west and south of Germany — taking the country’s total to around 20 — meant the disease appeared to be moving to a new phase, Spahn told a news conference, urging health authorities and employers to review their pandemic planning.

“The infection chains are partially no longer trackable, and that is a new thing,” Spahn said. “Large numbers of people have had contact with the patients, and that is a big change to the 16 patients we had until now where the chain could be traced back to the origin in China.”
