^that's a really neat website. I'm not much of an environmental scientist.

Are you speculating that perhaps its bodies being burned?

On another note how does germany have 5100 cases and only 9 deaths.

That's roughly a .1% mortality rate

Lots of old Germans died before they had kids due to world war 2. Totally different age demographics than Italy.

Absolute nonsense. Why would a war that ended 75 years ago have any effect on current German demographics? Germany and Italy have almost identical demographics, including the key metric for this virus that both have 22% of the population over 65 years old.

https://www.indexmundi.com/factbook/compare/germany.italy/demographics

Russia's demographics are still screwed up because of WW II.

No, the war ended 75 years ago, well past average Russian life expectancy. This means the war does not affect Russian demographics in 2020. The defining characteristic of Russian demographics, even by European standards, is the declining population, driven by low both rates, emigration and low life expectancy.
https://yaleglobal.yale.edu/content/russian-demographics-perfect-storm

We are in the midst of a global crisis, this is no time for nonsensical factual assertions - even on the OG.

Germany has low number of deaths because they dont add people with preexisting conditions to the coronavirus tally.

If Italy would do the same they'd get similar results as far as infected/dead ratio

In Italy they count EVERY dead as coronavirus even if they were on the brink of dead before catching the virus.

It is the only thing that makes sense.

Italy just yesterday had 368 deaths, most of them in Lombardy.

Im going to translate some stats later on, at this point they have some significance (im Italian and living in Lombardy).

It'd be great to know how many people that died in Germany that were badly sick with coronavirus symptoms have been actually tested and the results, but i bet there isnt such data.

This is basically a prime case for leading to an epic shitload of blatantly misleading news stories.

They're still out there. I just matched(and unmatched) on bumble with a nurse who thought it was all a bunch of bs drummed up by the media.  Scary how ignorant someone in the healthcare field could be, but I guess they dont say nurses are crazy for no reason

I was in line at a big gun store yesterday and the gentleman in line behind me told me the theory that since Red China now makes all our toilet paper*, they infected it with the coronavirus to introduce it into America.

* I don't think this is true.

they don't test, no testkits, but testing will improve.

on 330 million people, my estimate is 500.000 are infected.

I think based on the vast Corona knowledge on the OG everyone either works for the CDC or watches a lot of TV.

I'm not trying to make a point.  I'm trying to put things into perspective.

68 deaths, all but one over the age of 70, majority of those already had bad health.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands will be without income.  People have a higher chance of looting and rioting from the fallout of all the panic and panic buying more than they would have a risk of getting the virus and dying from it.

I know EVERYONE is panicking and media is telling you to panick, but here we are in the ides of March and the death count is still very low, and there are famous people, old famous people who are catching the virus and only experiencing mild symptoms before beating it.

How scared should you be?

first the numbers aren't realistic

second its not so much about the virus itself, but it will overrun the ICU's at the hospital, no more beds for other heavily injured people, like hartattacks, car accidents

happend in China and Italy, Europe has code red and locked downs with martial law

not just for a flu virus, its a killer.

The Italians took this laid-back approach and their healthcare system has collapsed and estimates as to how long it will take their economy to recover suggest it will take a decade. Spain also took a laid back "lets put it in perspective" approach and are now just entering the panic phase.

Thank goodness leaders in the West woke up instead of being dumb ignorant fucks like you.

Only if you don't understand what you're talking about.

Swift comeback paranoid panicker

Keep in mind Hanks is 63 with diabeetus.  Said at worst he felt like he had a small cold.

But you don't want to listen to positive shit or logical shit.  You want to panic, you want to be scared, you want to go panic buy things you don't need which will cause more problems than solutions.

If you want to post here showing everyone how scared you are, keep doing it lol

It's kinda funny to me.

This

How do people still think that this is merely about mortality rate?  Are you really that stupid or uninformed?

Not sure if this has been asked/answered here, but why has Hong Kong not been affected much. Don’t they have minimal cases?
