Does anyone have any data on how long asymptomatic people are contagious for? I've seen 8-10 days after symptoms start for symptomatic people.

From what I’ve read, whether asymptotic or not, the virus is more infectious in the 1st 9-10 days. And up to 10 days after onset of symptoms

incubation time is max 28 days and if you are cured, you are in exception 37 days contagious

these are both the max, avarage is around 50% of that time

LOL, you literally have the WORST set of circumstances for the virus. THOUSANDS of near naked and "friendly" people on top of (literally in some cases) one another, in a massive public forum...and from the article...

"in the week following the event several attendees have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to festival organizers."

"SEVERAL TESTED POSITIVE"..."several"

LOL

Its crazy to see how this is compounding, especially considering how many more cases are out there than what is being reported.

Where are all of these supposed millions of tests going??  Are CA, WA and NY the only places that actually have testing capacity? I have an 87yr old great aunt who came down with a cough and fever, she goes to the doctor and they won't test her.  The rest of the family who have been in contact with her are responsible so theyre all self quarantining for 14 days, but how the fuck are we ever going to get a handle on things when we STILL arent testing people.

They say in the daily presser how they have soooo many tests coming, but it's always next week.

Additionally, what tests they do have they send to NY/CA/WA because that's where all the positives are, not realizing that is a self-fulfilling prophecy as they aren't testing adequately elsewhere.

We're going to see different industries making ventilators and masks to fill in, like the M1 rifles in WWII that were made by International Harvester as well as Springfield Armory and Harrington and Richards.

The makeup conglomerate that owns Dior and Givenchy shut down their cosmetics line production just to make hand sanitizer that they distributed free to hospitals and medical personnel.

What do you guys think of a policy of voluntary exemption from isolation.  People who do not want to shelter at home can get a new drivers license or ID indicating that they are waiving all medical care resulting from covid19.  Let everyone who wants to go on living their lives do so with the understanding that they will not be hospitalized if they get sick.  Let those who want to take that chance go on living as they want and build up some herd immunity while also renoving the possibility for them to overwhelm our hospitals while doing so.  Give people the choice to take responsibility for their own actions.

problem is those people can't isolate themselves from the rest of the population. the concept (as smart or silly as it may be when you play it out) is that we want to stop spread. voluntary exposure without full isolation doesn't do that

you know old japanese volunteered to go into fukishima did it on that basis. but they didn't risk passing on radiation exposure. although, there may be good opportunity to step into higher risk healthcare settings?
