Reposted from the China is lying thread:

Italy has officially more deaths than China but not even 5% of the population.

I think it’s time epidemiologists stop using the data from China in their calculations. They are completely unreliable.

SCIENCE, Bitches!

Open-source project spins up 3D-printed ventilator validation prototype in just one week

yeah... the way industry stepped up in WWII. we can move on this if we have the will

We're going to see different industries making ventilators and masks to fill in, like the M1 rifles in WWII that were made by International Harvester as well as Springfield Armory and Harrington and Richards.

The makeup conglomerate that owns Dior and Givenchy shut down their cosmetics line production just to make hand sanitizer that they distributed free to hospitals and medical personnel.

This is how a country becomes strong and self reliant again instead of outsourcing everything important to someone else.

Something very good may come from this after all.

Not if the Democrats have a say

Never trust a communist.

China is in full-on spin control to save face and protect their export industry.

I would also love to be able to look at growth rates broken down on demographics.

Watching that mild % creep down from 20%+ to 4% has been one of the most encouraging parts of this whole saga to me.

I understand there is a lag and that may end up higher, but it has been decreasing systematically since this started. Great news.

^that's a really neat website. I'm not much of an environmental scientist.

Are you speculating that perhaps its bodies being burned?

On another note how does germany have 5100 cases and only 9 deaths.

That's roughly a .1% mortality rate

I'm not an environmental scientist either. It's just really fucking weird that somewhere in Wuhan is producing nearly 10x the amount of sulfur dioxide than the worlds top SO2 polluter is.

Something is being burned.

As for Germany, no clue. Its disproportionate to the rest of the world.

"Something is being burned"

Android farms area big thing in china, but I doubt all 8 mil are just bots that have been turned off.

Look at how the rates in Italy are different in terms of growth in different locations within the country

Lombardy took off while the other areas did not

IN for two weeks from now when another D241 post starts with something like... “my towns in lockdown. Tried to get to the store for supplies. Everything’s bought up. I’m so tough though”. You are not the first person to naysay. You won’t be the last. We’ve been on this thread for 2 months, and plenty have shifted gears from “tough guy flu kills more” posters...

.

Fair enough.  Better late than never.  I do still feel however a lot of people are really panicking and over-reacting in terms of only thinking of the worst and having tunnel vision on bad outcomes.  We all need to be positive in our attitudes.

I also feel all the panic buying is overkill.  Buy what you need.  I haven't heard anything that justifies buying more than what you need.  But I will say a video I watched on the spread of this virus and exponential growth influenced me.  Crazy that the video didn't call me an ignorant cunt or other personal insults to make the point.  lol

And yes Cheech, in case you're wondering the vote up you got for that quote came from me.  Crazy how someone can actually admit if/when they were wrong huh?  I know you probably had to go back a few pages to find that and re-quote it to make a point, so because of your efforts and point I gave you the vote up. Hopefully if I interact with you in the future you can make points and have a discussion that doesn't have curse words and/or insults in it.

It was inevitable. They didn’t shut down a bunch of cities and countries, because they were listening to d241 and his wisdom about Coronavirus. We’re definitely on the cusp of something life and world changing. I would like to say though.. you were pushing a lot of buttons D... but it’s good to see you’ve given that a rest. I also... agree with your opinion on the DFW statement about keeping the show... to capitalize on being the only sports on TV. Be safe... Be prepared gentleman...

This is where we get tough on borders imo. When shitholer areas like Africa the middle East and South America become overrun with it. There will be a massive influx of people on their way to Europe and America in large numbers.

When you look at the infections by country, it's blatantly obvious that China has lied and misled the entire world about their infection rate, and the seriousness of the virus.

US infections are currently going through the roof and at this rate we will easily surpass China(the epicenter and most populus country on the list) within a week.
