This is quite the opposite. Low voter turnout will hurt the dems more than the Republicans. Right now Trump has his base and very little voter support outside that (moderate republicans and right leaning dems). Trump's base will be out in full force rain or shine. Overall low voter turnout will take away those right leaning dems and the few moderate republicans that may vote for her.

College educated white females and younger voters that may have voted for Romney may vote for Clinton this go round.

Lower turnout does benefit the GOP. But there are 50 million more registered voters than in 2012, far beyond population increases.

There will be no shortage of voters this election. However, a disparity in turnout between Dem and GOP voters WILL hurt Trump.

Trump is only getting 80% of the GOP vote, when it should be above 90%.

Oops, you forgot to metion the other outlier polls that had Trump down by 12 points, which is actually further from the average than the ones you metioned

 

 It pretty much balances out at 5 points at the very most.
