Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade found making 116 increasingly difficult, so she moved up to flyweight. The results were spectacular. Bata Estaca (Pile Driver) defeated #1 contender Katlyn Chookagian with two devastating body shots in Round 1, and becoming the first female fighter in the UFC to win in three different weight At the post-fight press conference, Andrade said she wants division champion Valentina Shevchenko.

“I feel really good,” said Andrade. “It’s one more accomplishment – one win in another division. I have to thank my master, my team, my wife – and let’s go to the next.”

“I think I can make a difference in this division. I think I can put up a fight against Valentina. It’s something that should have happened already in other organizations, so I think I’m going to make a difference and put on shows in this division.”

UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko is scheduled to defend her belt, for the fourth time, vs. Jennifer Maia at UFC 255 on November 21. If either fighter pulls out, Andrade is ready. Further, she says she's ready to step in at bantamweight. Or featherweight.

“For sure,” she said. “I’m going to stay ready. If that happens, I’ll be there if needed. In any other division – 135, 145 – I’ll be ready. I haven’t felt this happy and haven’t had this vigor to fight. I just feel very good tonight.”

Looking at the UFC women's 125 rankings from last week, there is no question that Andrade deserves a shot:

CHAMPION: VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO
1. Katlyn Chookagian
2. Jennifer Maia
3. Cynthia Calvillo
4. Lauren Murphy
5. Jessica Eye
6. Joanne Calderwood

8. Viviane Araujo
9. Andrea Lee
10. Maycee Barber
11. Alexis Davis
12. Montana De La Rosa
13. Antonina Shevchenko
14. Alexa Grasso
15. Gillian Robertson

She's high as fuck. Rose was beating her down. Then made a mistake holding onto the arm and got KOd by the slam. Lol at fighting anyone close to Nunes.

she’s not an easy out for anyone. The second fight was close. Rose won but Jessica did some damage. She’s got power and if she can land on rose, she can land on anyone. With that said, Nunez would swallow her whole

She's an easy out for Valentina and Nunes. She's not ready for the ass beating they would both put on her. She would look like a child vs Nunes and a amateur vs valentina.

Valentina would pick her apart and decision her.

Nunes would knock her stiff.

Rose had an excellent first round in the first fight, and absolutely ran a clinic on Andrade.

However, Rose started to wilt, like she's had a problem doing throughout her career, as soon as Andrade started pressuring and landing heavy leg kicks in the second.

That slam KO was not a fluke. Wittman came up with a terrible gameplan for Rose to defend with the kiruma.

Also, in the rematch, Andrade had clearly improved her striking defense via head movement, and Rose didn't have nearly as much success landing.

Rose is actually my favorite WMMA fighter, but I think that she would've been brutally finished again if the Andrade rematch had been a five rounder.

She'll lose to Valentina, but at least she's going to bring it and not hide in a shell like the rest of Shevchenko's opponents.

Bring Cyborg back at 45 - I'd pay for that.
