Stipe seems to always come back better, but DC is DC. I honestly can’t pick a winner. Id assume DC is the favorite....

If Stipe wins Id love to see Stipe vs JBJ

Can’t see the fight going any different than the first, imo

Stipe gonna have to work tight boxing... Dictate range and avoid the clinch. If he comes forward as aggressivly as he usually does, he's getting dumped on his ass or dirty boxed up. He loses in that range. If he can figure out how to utilize his length and power effectively he was a chance.

His narrative that DC got lucky makes me think he'll probably lose. DC's fight IQ is too high.

DC has to go through the fire to get the collar tie and dirty box so Stipe always has a chance at range to put DC to sleep.

Stipe was doing very good up until the eye poke. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he wins on Saturday.

You never know... I'm a Stipe fan as fuck, but you can't sleep on DC, and well DC has power at HW.

Can't lie, this fight make me nervous.

Yes. The littlest of adjustments make the biggest of differences. Stipe only has to make some little adjustments here and there, and the fight is his to win. DC is a good guy, but I'm rooting for Stipe here. I want Stipe to finally get a career-defining win under his belt. He deserves it. It's a shame how underrated he's been throughout his career. DC already got his career defining wins. It's time for Stipe to finally shine for once

A heavyweight that has been ko'd 2 times in 21 fights has a glass chin? Hmm.

I picked Cormier to win the first fight, but after seeing how that fight was going before the eye poke I like Stipe’s chances in the rematch.

Still hard to call tho. I’m leaning toward Cormier in a long fight as I did the first time.

everyone is talking about Jon Jones, who will make sure it's fucked. dc will lose and retire after a controversial, boring fight that does stipe no favours

I thought DC looked sluggish when I watched it live but after watching it the other day again he fought a lot better than I remembered and was having a lot of success before the knockout. He was finding his rhythm. He was also doing the DC thing where he bends to his right far too often after being knocked out by someone exploiting that habit and if Stipe was more of a gameplan fighter he might've capitalized on that better. Stipe was also doing the thing where he exits clinches with his hands down and almost freezes for a second before creating proper space to be safe. The head movement displayed vs. Ngannou was non existent.

Both have a lot of specific things to take notes on from that fight and formulate a plan to take advantage of in the rematch. It all depends on who prepares better and of course who executes on the night. I do think that if Stipe fights DC like he is a LHW again he is going to lose again. If he puts his pride aside and fights with a level of nervousness (the good kind) then he has a much better chance.

I need to rewatch the first fight, I thought DC was taking shots early on. Think Stipe can fight safe and at range for the win.

He's the underdog but won't be surprised he wins

DC is going to get KO’d in the first. He will be over confident from his previous win and will walk right into an overhand right that drops him and then Stipe finishes him punches.

I do. Stipe was doing well the first time, but he was making huge defensive mistakes: not moving his head, pulling straight back, and boxing at clinch range. If he stays at distance and uses straight punches, head movement and footwork to keep his range, he has a very good chance of winning. DC looked to be in terrible condition the first time, but his hands are very fast and his jab is super quick for HW. Stipe has to keep DC at arm's length and be ready with the uppercut when DC penetrates the range.

I'm 60/40 Stipe for the rematch.

It's that last bit that gets me. If stipe fights the same fight and just thinks it was lucky... I don't see how it can go any differently.

If someone is hitting you with a combo, shouldn’t you cover up or back out (move)?

I think we might see DC use his wrestling in this fight, not because he has to but because in the beginning it was his bread and butter. I believe this is his last fight and he wants to go out the way he came in. DC tko round 2
