Mine would be Pablo Garza. Guy was extremely talented and down to earth.  Even after a few highlight reel finishes and bonuses, you'd of never guessed he was on some of the biggest cards of his time.  More than willing to help anyone in the gym. He's no longer in the area but it was a great experience getting to learn from and train with him. I'd love to hear about others experience.

Forrest Griffin or Roy Nelson. One was a workhorse and the other was constantly late.

I want to say it was 2005-2006 which I believe was just before IFL. It was around the same time Forrest fought Tito the first time.

I figured as much. Easy to mix up. I went to a couple of IFL shows which were interesting. Had the opportunity to go to a PFL event recently and passed on it because, sadly, I had no idea who anyone on the card was.

It was!

He was only 18, I believe, when I first met him. It was immediately obvious that he was more talented than ANYONE I had ever dealt with. He probably walked around at 145# at the time.

IFL was fun and had some legit competitors.

Both are big names.  Israel a decent guy? Tough to gauge if he's genuinely a good dude or the next JBJ.

Christopher Lloyd. He used to take boxing privates at a gym I once worked at. Great Scott what a right hand he had.

I didn't get along with him. What you see is what you get.

Cote was an awesome guy, hit hard as fuck though. I wasnt prepared for that at 18 lol.

Tonon or David Branch.

I also got to see Nicky Ryan destroying people, but didn't interact with him aside from saying hello
