UFC president Dana White appeared recently on The Jim Rome Show, and said Conor McGregor wants a rematch vs. lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, following a win over Donald "cowboy" Cerrone at UFC 246.

“What Conor wants to do is, he wants to get this fight under his belt, and if he beats ‘Cowboy,’ he wants to turn around as quickly as possible and fight Khabib," said White, as transcribed by Adam Guillen Jr. for MMA Mania. “He’s at the point of his career right now where a win is a must and he is taking it very serious. We actually talked yesterday and he is in great shape, ready to roll and every excited about this fight,"

Nope. Give me Khabib/Tony vs. Gaethje next. If Conor wanted a rematch so bad he should've fought Gaethje at 155.

Cherry picked opponents custom made for conors style.

I wonder how many casuals are going to get conned again when Conor talks about how he's fighting at a higher weight against a 200 pound plus giant like he did againts Nate.

Gaethje is not a good match up for Conor. Cowboys struggles in 1st round especially against guys with better boxing skills. If you know Conor then you know those are his strengths.

UFC trying one last time to save their golden boy. Can't blame them it's only business

This this this! Conor thinks he can pick the easy road, not knocking Cowboy but in all honesty this was the easiest fight style wise for Conor to come back too and get a win. I'm hoping Cowboy cleans his clock but I doubt it, other wise Conor would of fought Gaethje instead of Cowboy cause Gaethje has been calling out Conor for a long time and Conors been silent towards him and considering Gaethje should be the next contender Conor vs Gaethje should of been the right match to make.

Conor said he's planning to fight three times this year. He thinks Khabib gonna fight again any time before the end of 2020 after Tony??

He should set his sights on fights he actually has a chance of winning.

It he wants a quick turnaround then Khabib isn't the fight for him considering he's not fighting until April and Khabib rarely fights.

Khabib can only fight twice a year because of RAMADAN

Wants to fight at 170 because he wants a quick turnaround and doesn't want to have to cut to 155 twice in a row in a short period of time. Conor doesn't have that fire anymore

Just like the Con Man to be trying to jump the line. He should have to fight Justin first. I hope Cowboy takes him out. Sick of this leprechaun. If he was serious about getting back to the title he would have taken a fight with Justin. Justin would destroy Conor and Conor knows it.

CRE - Tony vs Conor is a dream fight

Tony would make Connors face different permanently IMO and would be a very fun fight. Connor would get smoked. I am one that loves watching him fight too.

Khabib probably won't be ready that quickly after Tony. Even if he beats Tony, he will still probably gets some cuts from elbows over 5 rounds.

I dunno man, Tony gets hit in every fight - look at what Lando Vannata did to him.

If Conor hits him like that he won’t be forward rolling back to his feet, but if it goes to the ground then Tony has a massive advantage.

It’s a great fight, let’s not pretend that it won’t be competitive and could go either way.

Just ridiculous. Beat Cowboy at 170 and then demand a rematch with the CHAMPION at 155. Sure, makes sense. Sad thing is, he'll probably get it.

Has there ever been a more entitled diva in the UFC than McGregor? Guy wants everything, but to earn nothing. How about earning a title shot for once?

What makes you think Conor hits harder than Lando @155?

Yep!  2020 McGregor isn’t shit compared to the 2015/2016 McGoat!  That Conor would smash Conor and KO Kabib.

But that Conor is gone. 2020 Conor is going to lose and disappear like his idol Rousey.

I love watching Conor fight as much as anyone but I just think he is done. Way too long out of the cage.

If Conor wanted to prove he improved enough for a different result vs Khabib, Cowboy is a very strange choice. It doesn't prove anything. He should be facing a legit wrestler, like kevin Lee.

Let's just wait for Conor Wins The Rematch to show up and find out what the plans are. He's on the team and is sure to have the real inside scoop.
