It's an interesting story unfolding, and strikes a remarkable contrast with boxing. Arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time cannot get a fight in a major organization, at 45, with a still excellent skill set, and 0 signs of being compromised mentally.

Anyone who honestly thinks a major org should sign Silva and put him in there with top talent baffles me completely.  Anderson is a man and deserves to make his own decisions, that said organizations not wanting to bring him in to get destroyed shows more than anything else.

I agree with everything but the last sentence. I think he is absolutely compromised mentally.

I think it's newsworthy.

I agree with the first half.  It’s hard to be a fan of his the last several years.  He doesn’t even try to win.  He just spars and dances around trying not to get finished.  He doesn’t even try.  Mentally, not sure but I know the last few years haven’t helped.   But I agree it’s definitely a news story and there has never been a fighter of his stature shunned like this.
