UnderGround Forums Fox Legal Analyst - "JBJ will get 2-3 years"

On UFC Tonight. Remember, we are dealing with a FELONY matter here.

He said if Jones' lawyers are real good and can get a sweet plea bargain he could see it maybe being reduced to 1 year.

Just one Legal Analyst's opinion, but it was who Fox and the UFC apparently selected to give his view on the issue.

I'm no legal analyst, and coming from an unbiased fan perspective...but I'd be amazed if he did any jail time.

I know next to nothing about law, but that sounds pretty sensationalistic.  I'd be very surprised if he gets any jail time.

He's wealthy and famous enough to avoid jail time

But I wouldn't be surprised if he was made an example of, serving maybe 3 months.

This. Only one prior plus he's got money. And let's honestly ask the question, is this guy a violent criminal who belongs behind bars? Hurting someone in a auto accident is much different, he's never intended to hurt anyone, he has a problem getting behind the wheel and I think he's a kid who got handed the keys way too young.

Tyson said something once that stuck with me along the lines of "tell a 20 year old kid he can beat any man in the world in a fair fight and see what that does to his ego" Phone Post 3.0

Some times wealth or fame has the opposite effect if someone else in power wants to make an example. Michael Vick, comes to mind.

That being said, I think JBJ will get a light sentence. Phone Post 3.0

Leonard Little killed a woman while drunk driving and only got probation. I think Jones will be alright.

So when he gets community service, a fine and maybe probation, will FOX get a clue and not invite this analyst back?

Shit, if this woman is smart she'll give two fucks about time and go for the coin in civil court.

Pregnant = bonus points toward pain and suffering!

Cash in on that shit, woman! Phone Post 3.0

It's like a whole new battle.

Celebrity vs. Private Prisons

Does fame and fortune trump the need to fill beds?  Stay tuned.

If he were were any other type of black celebrity than a fighter, I'd say no way.  Will Smith could do this twice a week.

Black fighters sometimes get the book thrown at them though.

Sometimes being famous gets you more time. When the legal system fights back, when everyone hates a person. Normal person that does this exact thing with a public defender, with not much of a past history like jones, maybe serves a few months.

Remember war machine he assaulted 2 people felonies back to back, and only served like 16 months, before war machine was remotely famous.

Michael Vick served years for dog fighting, how many black guys in the south fight dogs, and cops wouldnt dream of arresting them.

Hernandez killed a guy, all guys were associated with drugs and gangs. The found a guy, no fingerprints, Hernandez being famous brought the case from potentially being cold, to the NFL texts from llyod to his sister that caught him.

If jones goes to treatment voluntarliy now, Comes back with doctors notes, agrees to monitoring, and drug tests, he could end up on probation. Or if judge and legal system, is pyschos, like I think they will be, Jones tries to plea bargain forever, and ends up going to court.

Because his prior was not a felony, it can't be used as part of the judgement against him, meaning the judge has to look at it like a first offence I believe. They'll probably drop the MJ possession charges as part of a plea bargain, and give him 30 days house arrest, 18 months probation.

U can look at Rampage, Rampage situation is different.

No drugs.

Rampage was nto lucid when the found him, ended up on pyschriatric hold, I am 100 percent sure rampage was diagnosed with mental illness on this event, and that doctors said he needs to stay on medication.

Our country because of wars, and veterans has a soft spot for mental illness

The US justice system has shown us time and time again that if you are famous or have a lot of money, the rules don't apply to you. JJ will get probation probably and settle out of court. Phone Post 3.0

Won't happen, now if it was me or you...we would be in jail for atleast 12-18 months. Maybe out in 6-9 months parole. Not JBJ though... Phone Post 3.0
