He had that dog in him. Brutal ground and pound. I actually felt bad for his opponent.

Otlwgt - He is fighting the right level of competition unlike Pico. Danis will have a long career and has time to develop his striking. He can pad his record and make a few dollars.

Pico needs to take lessons from Danis

Pico's ego is his own worst enemy at this point. The guy has all kinds of potential but he's been fighting guys well beyond his experience level. Both him and Bellator are fucking up.

He looked good. He's not fighting great opposition but he shouldn't be right now.

I would've liked to see how his stand up looks but his ground game is as expected. Danis may not have had the best record or been super active in BJJ after going from brown belt to black belt but his skill set is razor sharp and his grappling was always well suited to MMA.

He looked great. His cage composure at only 2 fights In was OUTSTANDING!

he needs about 5-6 easy fights before taking on any “above average” competition.

I didn't see his most recent fight.  In his first 2 fights, the stand up part of his game was pretty rough.  But the ground game was world class.

Then his stand up was so rough in the first one I counted it twice

Garry Tonon pisses on Danis

Tonon is writing the book on the best way for a grappler to start off a pro MMA career. And he is the only guy to sub Danis that I'm aware of. They've had 2 matches and started their pro MMA careers the same month so they'll always be linked in a way.

Tonon is a bad style match up for Danis. But Danis is still a good MMA prospect.

I dont think so. The ground game is about equal; I bet it would become more of a who has better standup battle.

I'm come to the realization that Bellator will continue to throw all of the developing stars on the main card for notoriety and a little entertainment value.

Boxing and ESPN just did it with Fury coming in like Apollo Creed.

Pico's matchmaking makes me cringe though.

He fights to his strengths and takes the path of least resistance. That's smart.

It'll be interesting to see what happens once he faces someone with very strong takedown defense. I still feel like continuing to try for tie ups and guard pulls are wiser than wanging.

How old will he be in 5-6 years?

Lmao- he is never going to  be good. The guy he fought was pulled out of the local pub. His first fight he struggled to take the guy down and has no stand up. He has yet to get punched in the face. Once he fights a guy who can fight back all his antics will stand for nothing. He is a rich tough guy wanna be - he is no Connor . Good Grappler and thats where it starts and ends

He was ahead of the curve in calling out Askren. Did it months before he was in the UFC. Smart.

He wasn't like Khabib trying to fight GSP who we know doesn't have his head in the game.

Respect.
