Buncha bumps and no mention of McGregor lol.

when he gets beat by cowboy yes indeed.

Hide your hate boners, gentleman. 1 loss to Floyd Mayweather and 1 loss to the LW Champ does not come close to THE biggest fall from grace. BJ Penn, Chris Weidman, Cain Velasquez all got him beat by a mile.

Oh, I didn't realise MMA was all about your record.

Seems like a sport. And pretty hard to top McGregors fall from grace in the public eye.

Right??? McGregor has lost 2 fights in the ufc, 1 of which he won the rematch. What a scrub....

Looking back, mark really wasn’t that good. As soo. As soon as he fought tough guys he couldn’t bully being ridiculously juiced up, he’d fold. I assume that’s what happened against Angle before 96.

He couldn’t bully Igor, he couldn’t bully Fujita and same thing with herring. Like, when you think about it, who the fuck of name anywhere close to his size did he beat? Fabio gurgle? Pretty sure that’s his biggest win. Maybe ranger stott.

Great sub grappler back back in the day. Made Barnett look like a kid twice.

His biggest win is BY FAR Enson.

Who was largely a professional punching bag when not fighting scrubs. Yeah, he armbarred randy in Rings, but that fight would have looke drastically different in real mma like pride or UFC. No striking to the head on the ground and standing 8’s isn’t mma.

Fair point, but was there any standing 8 count in that fight? Didnt he armband him in like a min? Been a while since I've seen that fight but how would it have been different?? He subbed him in like 60 sec if I remember correctly

It's almost like you've missed the last 3 years.

Or is it ok to get coked up and go throwing sackbarrows at busses full of people?

Sure, Weidman, Rockhold and others fell off a cliff respectively in terms of winning.

McGregor fell off a cliff in terms of life.

Johnny Hendricks is definitely it for me. I don't know what happened to that guy. e won a great fight against Lawler to become champ, then in the rematch fought well again (thought he won). Subsequent to that he declined tremendously.

Maybe Lawler took his soul Mortal Kombat style, not sure. The man arguably beat GSP not long before that though. Unreal.

This is mine too. He went from UFC Champion to getting beaten to a pulp by and ex gay pornstar in a bare knuckle boxing match.

I think it was the intersection of wear and tear + getting off the PEDs as USADA came into play. It seemed like he wasn't disciplined with his nutrition at all outside of camps/cutting, came in heavy and probably made up the difference in hard work in camp. But without the drugs his body couldn't handle the volume he needed to get down in weight and trying to starve himself to make it work made him come into those later fights physically depleted.

I remember GSP suggested a rigorous drug test before the fight with Hendricks and I think I can see why now.

Hendricks decline is a bit similar to Vitor's post-USADA, it is very unfortunate. He was knocking out the likes of Jon Fitch and Martin Kampmann before the GSP fight(when they were still Top 10 fighters).

BJ should have retired when GSP retired after Hendricks, at 32.

That left GSP 25-2.

It would have left BJ 16-7-0-1 with only three loses in his weight class.

True. He had some impressive wins and performances, went over to Pride and got the better of a prime Nog too. Then while he was still in his 20s, he was wearing a shirt fighting random SHW dudes in front of 300 people.

He got roasted so badly even back then for smothering Giant Ocha(RIP) with his tits.

Well at least Renan Barao's last UFC win was over "the next GSP" instead of just a random fighter.

https://www.mmafighting.com/2019/12/6/20999599/former-champion-renan-barao-released-ufc-five-straight-losses-mma

I just saw Barao was cut from the UFC after going 0-5.
