Just watched an old Miguel Torres fight, got me to thinking who else has had such a fall from grace in mma. Another that I remember is Josh Grispi, guy was so hyped about to fight Aldo for the title, turned it down lost to Poirier and never won again

Think Forrest went down quick after winning the LHW Championship. Respect the hell out of the guy. Won a huge upset on Shogun, defeated Rampage, lost to Rashad and Anderson, defeated Ortiz and Franklin, lost to Shogun, then had a close fight with Ortiz to end off his career.

Not too bad, but the momentum to get to top, to how quick he went back was insane Phone Post 3.0

As much as he's loved once he lost the belt he went 1-4-1 and looked worse in every fight. Phone Post 3.0

I feel like it is hard to say that a fighter falls from grace if they only keep fighting top fighters. Forrest, BJ, Chocolate Al are a few of the guys that fit that category. Phone Post 3.0

For me its Anderson Silva. He went from the greatest fighter to ever fight, to losing twice in devistating fashion to the same guy and then having a somewhat lackluster fight that he wound up pissing hot for PEDs. I am and was a huge Silva fan but man did he fall hard and fast. Still hoping he makes a big comeback, but at his age and having had that injury I dont think he will.

Anderson Silva. Not so much for his two losses, because Weidman is a good fighter. Mainly because he pissed hot for PEDs and then tried to use that lame ass tainted Viagra excuse. That excuse more than anything was the icing on the cake. Pissing hot, fine he came off a gruesome injury, the fans will forgive him. Lying and trying to play us for stupid, no. Phone Post 3.0

Miguel has to be the worst fall, but I agree with the Anderson mentions as well

Also Jon Jones may be on that path. He went from the greatest thing that happened to the LHW division, to being regarded as fake and immature, to suspended indefinitely. While his fighting has nothing to do with this, his actions outside of the octagon have diminished his legacy. Phone Post 3.0

A lot of the fighter's mentioned were good, but a fall from grace for Uriah Hall? Miguel Torres was the elite of the elite. A true pound for pound talent. The only careers that are even comparable would be the likes of Anderson, Chuck etc. Lol at Roger Huerta. Phone Post 3.0

Don't get me wrong, the losses don't help. But they alone wouldn't have caused him to fall from grace. They were just small factors in my opinion. The biggest factors were the PEDs and lies. Phone Post 3.0

For me the losses are significant. He lost in devastating fashion. Then came a lackluster performance against a blown up WW that is extremely hittable and then the steroid stuff with a cherry on top of mystery liquid cialis from a "friend" with a hearing punctuated with Salt n Peppa songs being played to the commission.

No one part is responsible for "the fall" being the greatest fall of all time.......but the are all necessary to create it.

Just my opinion. We see it a little differently and I'm ok with it. I see what you are saying and I don't always make sense. Phone Post 3.0

Yeah, Noguiera, Shogun, Anderson, Rampage etc really had no impact when they came over. Phone Post 3.0
