What’s up boys, anyway, I usually box in the morning, roll at night, and do cals/sprints/lifts around 2-3x a week as well. 

I try taking two rest days per week, although I always feel bad doing so. 

How often do you guys roll/box/kickbox, and do you feel that training more (6x a week, 5 at a min) = you being sharper?

Athlete disease, feeling guilty for resting. Resting *IS* training. Start bragging about how hard you rest on your rest days. Stress + Rest=Growth.

To answer the Q, I have 2x rest days a week and I lounge like a MFer.

Mon.   Boxing/bjj

Tue.    Weights/gym

Wed.   Thai/bjj

Thu.    Run/pool

Fri.      Bjj (open mat)

Sat.    Run in am (then chill)

Sun.   Porn in am (then chill)

Lifting at the moment trying to hit 100kg by years end. So big lift sessions 6x a week with 2-3 boxing or MT sessions with one of them being sparring. Run on my day off for active recovery.

When I'm fighting, I normally have 1 and a half rest days. Saturday evening/all of Sunday. 

 

I don't lift a lot of weights so recovery is a little easier for me.

Listen to your body. It sounds at your age, you should be pushing yourself at least 5-6 days a week. Don’t necessarily take “days” off. Take “workouts off”.
