I’m sure unionizing the fighters will help accelerate those losses. Why do socialists try to ruin everything?

Looks like ferttitas bailed at just the right time like the gangsters they are. Interesting to also see that zuffa missed its financial projections for 2018.

because unions and socialism have nothing to do with Zuffa losing $100 million in 2016. And if fighters eventually decide they need or want a union it doesn't make them socialist.

so maybe oversaturation with low quality cards, WMMA and platforms like ESPN+ are things they can change for the better.

I havent watched one fight other than prelims since they went to espn+ and I don't plan on watching any anytime soon. It's not that important to me anymore and if I hear there was a KO or a good fight I'll YouTube that shit the next morning.

You are saying they lost 100m in 2016? Because that was by far the UFCs best year since at least 2013 and there hasn’t been a better year since 2016.  2016 will always be the pinnacle of mainstream MMA popularity imo. UFC 196. 200, 202, 205, 207... then...ufc put all eggs in May/Mac... then...  ufc died :-(

Cant wait to see 2019 s numbers!

UFC has def helped kill my passion for the sport. I dont even bother watching cards or fights that i miss anymore and i miss more and more.

Everybody realized what zuffa was up to when they sold the company. They knew what they were doing and the direction the sport was headed.

You do realize they were taking out huge salaries at the executive level at that time, don’t you? They could just borrow the money and pay themselves whatever they wanted.

Its not like they were trying to be super frugile with money and show a huge profit in 2016
