UFC commentator Joe Rogan posted a clip of Justin Gaethje training getting a training session in with head coach Trevor Wittman. UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov saw the clip, and posted a cold, hard message.
“Justin is a very nice guy and good opponent for me, but when octagon close he have to be ready not only boxing match, I’m not Dustin or Tony. I will take him to the deepest ocean and drown him. Inshallah.”
Inshallah directly translates as "God willing." It expresses the belief that nothing happens unless God wills it and that his will supersedes all human will.
Nurmagomedov defends vs. Gathje in the main event of UFC 254 on October 24, 2020, in TBA.
