"FOR WHAT? I beat him and I did everything I had to to beat him... now I can talk my shit; they had it pretty much where they didn't give ME a rematch clause for a reason.  They gave me a contract on the side saying if you lose, this is what you're gonna get for your next few fights; pretty much predicting that I'm gonna lose. Its fine.  Now they just gotta eat it up, suck it and now its time for us to takeover & move forward."

I thought the fight was pretty close. Lopez was winning the early rounds. But Loma came back and I believe had the most damaging shots of the fight.

I like Lopez a lot, but the rematch would be huge for him now that he holds the power. He should take zero advice from his dad and get a good agent or something to get him PAID.

Unless he plans on fighting Canelo, nobody will care about his next fight if he doesn’t rematch. I’m not a hater at all, boxing just doesn’t have anything else going on so if he was one of my guys we’d take the rematch and demand life changing money. Hell he handled Loma with ease early on anyway. It’ll probably go the same way and help his brand even more. The kid is talented af, bigger, stronger, and looked just as fast. Time to make some big money my friend! Congrats to him and his team! Can’t believe he’s 23 years old.

This has to be a play for a bigger cheque. No rematch clause means he can negotiate a bigger payday.

Loma isn’t a draw. He’s a darling of the hardcores, but the average Joe has no idea he exists.

I dont think anyone below LW is a draw really. I shouldnt say below but you know what I am getting at.

I think this has a lot of buzz and they should capitalize on it. Teofimo talking about moving up to 140 is great for his body type and weight cut, but I think he should cash in and beat a couple 135ers first. Now I am just rambling. Whatever this guy decides, I am gonna watch either way.

There are a ton of fights for him. Gervonta Davis, Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, Regis Prograis, Josh Taylor, Jose Ramirez are all 130-140lbs. Lopez doesn't have long at 135lbs, he is growing. Lopez isn't the most mobile or greatest defensive guy, but he is fast and has big power. He will be dangerous for anyone. He should make some good money from here on.

There are no “average fans” in boxing.

people who even watch this sport only watch the big names. Loma is one of them.

crawford

canelo

ggg

may

manny

there are not too many fighters that get average people to tune in.

It was Arum’s decision not to have a rematch clause.

Lopez is another Danny Garcia, lengthy kid with good power. But doesn’t handle pressure well, put him on his back foot he’s beatable.

Loma would be wise to not take the rematch unless he is looking to cash out and retire. Loma is elite at 130 but not 135, he should go back down.

Who do you envision as the most likely opponent to accomplish that?

Loma didn't start fighting until the 8th Round but then won them clearly.

Stevenson, Haney could get the job done. Then you have Taylor and Ramirez at 140 as well.

It was certainly a draw for me.  Lopez took early rds. Loma 2nd half.  Although Lopez threw a lot more punches that hit the gloves and Loma did more damage

Or he could start fighting Round 3 instead of round 7, once he decided to pressure he went like 5-1.

I'm a huge Lomachenko fan and AT WORST it's a draw. He lost the 12th clearly. The 2nd COULD be given either way but he only landed 3 good punches. So if we assume he lost 1-6 + 12, he lost the match.

Throwing a lot more > not throwing at all (which is what happened from rounds 1-6).

Loma won the majority of the hot rounds. He would definitely be in a good position to win a rematch

That was a draw in my eyes. Those judges stopped watching after the 8th round. There has got to be a rematch.

He got beat handily any time Loma actually decided to engage. Should probably have some perspective on his actual performance.
