Credible reports have emerged that the UFC has found a home for their next four events in the face of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The closed-door events will reportedly be held at Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California. The resort is owned and operated by Tachi-Yokut Tribe, and is not necessarily subject to regulation by the California State Athletic Commission.

Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje have signed contracts and are expected to headline the first event, UFC 249 on April 18.

The arena was long home to the WEC and has hosted a number of regional events. The resort closed on Friday, March 20 at 11:00 p.m. in response to the epidemic.

Note: This location is not confirmed, and a lot can happen between today and then.

Serious question. With it not being under a commission, does the result count against the fighters win/loss/draw record?

Not sure of the legality but lots of fights have happened on reservations and counted towards a fighters professional record.

Still counts towards the fighters record, but it’s marked NSF for Non Sanctioned Fight without the rules and regulations of the State Athletic Commision.

Yea.  I mean all the fights UFC (and Bellator to a larger extent in recent history)  at Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods in CT have been used as  accredited records. In fact for when the UFC holds events outside the US. In areas without accredited Athletic Commissions, if I’m not mistaken they hired Mohegan Sun’s AC. And they usually do an excellent job.
My question is does Tachachi have a decent commission? Good judges? And health care protocols?

Crazy trying to get around lockdown by holding on an Indian reservation. Here in AZ the Navajo Rez has been hit really bad with coronavirus.
