Been using this program for a few weeks and I think it's great in stopping ads on any application on Android (not just browsers).

Name of application: Blokada
link: https://blokada.org/index.html

'If you want to efficiently blocks ads, trackers and malwares, if want to save your data plan, make your device faster and protect your privacy with one application, Blokada is for you. It is free, secure and open source. Blokada works across all of your apps, not only the browser! It doesn't require root, supports both wifi and mobile networks, and is perfectly safe and simple to use. Just turn it on, and it will do the job silently!'

It's like uBlock but system wide.

Is this a service that requires you to connect to their servers in order to filter traffic?

Nope. Doesn't require you to connect to their servers. The default DNS servers on your device are used. But there are options to connect to AdGuard DNS (its like open DNS, quad dns, etc). nothing sketchy.

Usless to me then, I run a custom dns server. Thanks though.

I downloaded. Will use for couple days and see what the fuss is about. I never get ads on this app regardless.

Thx. I saw this as a recommended app for firestick but I didn't see the point as I don't browse on that but this should help here.
