UnderGround Forums This is an awful match up for Cowboy...

I don't see any chance how he can win this fight.

Conor is light years a head of Cowboy in striking and he won't try to take down Conor.

Cowboy has plenty of tools to win this fight. He may surprise everybody and take Connor down right away. We just got to wait and see it play out.

Because it's a high-paying red panty night, that means it's not an awful match up for cowboy. :)

If cowboy can weather the storm for the first 2 rounds its gonna be interesting. If cowboy starts digging those kicks to the body, he may just get a headkick opportunity.

Wonder if he takes conor's front leg away, eddie had success with it for the 2 he threw haha, and cowboy is a much better kicker than eddie.

Cowboy is gonna clang Conor with a left head kick.

This is what I was thinking, if he can land those leg kicks without getting countered with lefts it will get interesting.

If Cowboy can get out of the Second round I think Connor gasses.  Is this a 5 rounder?  I see Conor searching Cerrone fast or Cerrone drowning Connor.

Cowboy almost never loses to fighters under 5'10. Conor struggles with tall fighters. Conor fights long. Cowboy thrives in long range highly technical fights. Cowboy can win.

Guys don't get me wrong... I love cowboy and want him to win badly but tonight wouldn't go well for him.

Cowboy is injured with a bum leg so all this talk is irrelevant. He's going to lose and be happy for a good pay day.

I've said that cowboy is the easiest fighter ever to run the matchup prediction game in your head on and you can tell about 15 seconds in which version you're getting .  This is such a bad bad match up for him .   I see him landing a flash knockdown on cowboy where cowboy falls back on his ass stunned and Connor throws a few quick shots which will stop the fight and start a "fight was stopped too early give the veteran a chance" discussion on UG

I don't see this fight going past a minute or so and I could see the first punch landed being one that drops him

I feel like you're making shit up. He ran into Diaz and Khabib. Anyone could lose against those guys - especially when they're smaller, like Conor is/was.

Before that - he beat fighters the same height as him or taller with no problems. The problem had nothing to do with height - it had to do with skill.

Conor isn't light years ahead in striking. He is the better boxer clearly, but he's gonna have to finish cowboy early.

No way is conor surviving all 5 rounds with cowboy unless he fights differently

I've got McG inside of 2. Any longevity to this fight and Cowboy overwhelms him.

Agreed but that would be shocking to see it go that far.   I wonder if cowboy is actually prepped to retire pose fight and his other comments were just to keep interest

Cowboy has a size advantage thus perhaps a strength advantage as well. We shall see if that comes into play.

StrikingMMA - Good call, Girly.

I didn't think it would be that brutal.   Figured it would be more of a chin shot and cover up but I knew it would be quick.  Not sure how cowboy gets motivated again
