Dude is hungry to become one of the greats. Not your average wrestler transitioning to MMA, being a MMA champ has been his lifelong dream. One of those "next generation" fighters we have been saying would arrive.

Look at all the doubters in the first couple pages disagreeing with how Pico/his trainers/his management were approaching his career.

Looks like they know what they are doing to me.

Love the attitude on the kid. How anyone dislikes him is mind boggling.

I’d like to see him use more MMA and not fall in love with his boxing

How much more MMA can you fit into 30 seconds fight time though?

I’m speaking about his three fights in total. I haven’t seen him set up his hands with any kickboxing  etc.

The kid is still young and it’s very easy to fall in love with your power. But also being this young he can put together a full skill set that he will eventually need once he moves up the rankings

I actually had the guy in front of me at the event fist bump me because I yelled out left shovel hook to the body RIGHT as he landed it and stopped the guy.

I made a "single serving friend" as Tyler Durden puts it.

I had a lot of fun at the event and picos fight was the HL for me.

Big Pico fan here but I agree..the guy Aaron fought last night was garbage..how in the hell did that guy build a 12-3 record?!?i mean lets be serious

I wonder if Pico might fall in love too much with his hands though..

This. His opponent looked like straight-up amateur hour and Pico celebrates like he just won the championship, lol.

Just watched that body shot KO over and over about 10 times. The kid's power and precision is scary good.

I like the hype on Pico and have a lot of hope for him to be a mega star and take the sport of MMA to the next level. He seems to be the next generation type of MMA athlete.

But that celebration sweep looks cringy. Looks so rehearsed and unnatural. It is worst than Tito Ortiz’s graveyard digging celebration. And I hated than more than anything before. Pico’s celebration sweep just topped that.

i hope he finds a different way to celebrate!!! That just looks awful!!!

Part of how he built a 12-3 record: Beat some guys who were probably hand-picked. Current records of some of the guys he beat:

  • Joey Apodaca: 0-9
  • Jordan Gammel: 0-3
  • Mike Arellano: 3-10
  • Doug Trotter: 0-5
  • Anthony Moore: 0-14 (all losses by finish...might be a record)
  • Joey Nier: 0-3
  • Marco Daniels: 3-15 (finished 13 times)

BJ Penn Forever - Aaron Pico 2-1 vs Lee Morrison 19-8 set for Bellator 199.

Another killer opponent. His opponent's four fight win streak includes wins over guys with the following records:

  • 0-10 (finished in all 10 fights)
  • 6-9
  • 6-35 (finished in all 35 fucking losses! This is not a typo.)
  • 2-10 (finished in all 10 losses)

Hmm, not sure. I stopped keeping count after 5. I used to have a running count of the take downs as well. I lost track of that too. It's currently at around 20-1 or so. That was quite the one sided series (can't call it rivalry).

I'm looking forward to this next bout. Pico is being active and exciting in his bouts. They're doing a good job of keeping him busy and getting him comfortable inside the cage. He's hardly spent any time in there thus far. I expect they up the level a bit next year. He should be feeling pretty comfortable in there with more mat cage time.
