Is Caldwell in Picos division? It really sucks that AJ McKee trains with Pico so they probably won't fight each other

Caldwell is the BW champ but wants a FW title shot and is 1-0 at FW.

I think GSP is the only other MMA fighter Roach has cornered.

3-1 Pico saying he will be champ or close to it in a year.
12-0 AJ saying he wants the next title shot.

Said they won't fight each other in the past, one might have to go up to LW or they decide to fight.

13-1 Caldwell wants the FW title shot too.

27-4 Pitbull defends his title vs 17-3 Emmanuel Sanchez on 11/15. I don't consider Sanchez to be a serious threat to Pitbull or the above mentioned trifecta but upsets happen.

No big deal, just like the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of quality MMA.

Pico has now moved down to a 4-1 favorite.

"He has bad defense, he needs to be build slowly, his management does not know what they are doing"

All the critics are silenced again.

Just imagine if this kid starts to wrestle a little in there and imagine what he looks like after a few more years of BJJ.

Im interested to see how he would do against someone like Barbosa who has nasty leg kicks and would neutralize his boxing... But the kid is only 22. He will be a force for sure

Thats also up a weight but Pico could GnP Barboza to bolivia if he could not deal with the thai boxing.

He has not shown it in MMA but Pico is a great wrestler.

Pico is only held back in wrestling/boxing/mma because he is good at all three and can't focus on one like most athletes.

Too bad, Karakhanyan and Bubba Jenkins are gone. Karakhanyan beat Jenkins twice. Would both be top 10 FWs.

Possible opponents for Pico since he is not first in line for the title shot:

24-8 Daniel Straus
20-1 Juan Archuleta
11-0 Adam Borics

Henry Corrales vs Andy Main and Pitbull vs Sanchez booked for October/November.

Pico and Juan are training partners at the Treigning Lab, so I don’t think they would fight.

Pico has some of the best body work in MMA. Crazy for somebody as green as him.

Pico starting to look seriously legit, that was a big step up in quality of opponent and he smashed him…. He got caught a couple of times himself but damn, he seems to have what it takes to go all the way, especially with that wrestling base. Bad from the ref though, fight should’ve ended about a minute earlier.

Pico looks like the best 145 pounder in the division. The pressure he applied forced the opponent to make it a fire fight If you cannot outgun Pico on the feet, you had better be able to take him down.

NO ONE CAN TAKE HIM DOWN.

That kid has dynamite in his hands. He is going to be something special. I hope he doesn't works his way up too fast and I'd love to see him start to incorporate his ground game. He's very hitable right now because he has no fear...needs some gym humbling. He's gonna wreck house when he's ready.

https://mmajunkie.com/2018/11/aaron-pico-meets-henry-corrales-at-bellator-in-los-angeles-on-jan-26

Super-prospect Aaron Pico will get another tough test in his next fight when he meets Henry Corrales at Bellator’s tentpole event in January.

MMAjunkie verified the featherweight matchup between Pico (4-1 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) and Corrales (16-3 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) with a Bellator official following an initial report from latimes.com.

The event takes place Jan. 26 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and airs on Paramount and DAZN following prelims streamed on MMAjunkie.

After losing his MMA debut in stunning fashion, Pico has been nothing short of dominant. The 22-year-old has won four consecutive fights by first-round knockout, with his most recent finish of Leandro Higo at Bellator 206 in September being the most significant of all.

Corrales will attempt to shut down the hype of Pico and extend a four-fight winning streak of his own. After dropping his first three fights with the promotion to a pair of former champions in Patricio Freire and Daniel Straus, we well as upcoming title challenger Emmanuel Sanchez, Corrales has hit his stride in a big way.

With the addition, the latest Bellator on Jan. 26 fight card now includes:

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Ryan Bader – for heavyweight title
Henry Corrales vs. Aaron Pico
