UFC on ABC 1 took place Saturday, January 16th from the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event was broadcast on ESPN+ and for the first time, the main card will air live on ABC. 

The main event featured a featherweight bout between former champion Max Holloway and rising star Calvin Katter and may have determined the next featherweight title contender.

Main Card (Live on ABC, 3:00 PM EST)

-Carlos Condit defeated Matt Brown by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

-Alessio Di Chirico defeated Joaquin Buckley by KO (Head Kick, Round 1, 2:12)
-Punahele Soriano defeated Dusko Todorovic by TKO (Punches, Round 1, 4:48)

I gotta disagree big tuna. I love these early cards! Watch a whole fight card and still be in bed by 9pm?! Heck ya!

Excited to see what Ponzinibbio looks like! 7 fight win streak. If he looks good, it's another good contender in the mix.

I gotta disagree big tuna. I love these early cards! Watch a whole fight card and still be in bed by 9pm?! Heck ya!

Yeah...   But I think since I only drink at night, I have like a few hours of drinking time in me. Not an all day kinda Sunday football drinking guy at all. So when I have my six pack during the fights, I'm usually pretty sleepy and useless after the main event. Which is now like at 2 on!

Hawes vs Imavov is off

• Condit: 90% of his wins are by finish.
• Brown: 91% of his wins are by finish.

Maybe a POTN in this one? If this was seven or eight years ago, I'd probably say "no doubt." Tough to predict in 2021.

Eight of the 10 fighters on the main card finish at least 70% of their wins. The only 2 who don't are in the main event.  Solid main card from a Just Bleed standpoint.

Seven of the 10 fighters in the prelims finish 70% or more of their wins. Amazingly, that includes 3 of the chicks on the card. WTF.

I don't mind early cards. On a normal card I end up not sleeping until like 4 in the morning. My heart rate and anxiety gets all hyped up from the fight and I have to wind down after

When I was young whenever a fight happened with chicks it turned all of us on and everybody wanted to watch chicks fight. I’d always try to hit the chicks that won. My best friend that was a chick used to starch bitches and I used to give her the starch.

Man fuck ESPN+. If you're gonna show the event on ABC, just show the whole damn thing.

So if you buy the PPV,you have to watch it on a PC?
