Looks to be perhaps their least interesting offering yet. Compare this card to the ONE Tokyo card in March. Hopefully they can step it up somehow but I won't hold my breath. I enjoyed their BW and OW GPs and the Tenshin appearances but they have a really, really shallow roster and I just can't see how they turn things around for MMA in Japan. Maybe the NYE show will be ok.

I have zero interest in watching this card though I will watch a replay of the Hamasaki fight.

Crazy that Japan had peak PRIDE and K1 and now this is the best they can do...

Yeah I dont recognize a single fighter.

I figured they would have gained more momentum and names by now but they must be hurting for money if they cant offer more than ONE or Bellator to grab some names.

Thanks for posting the card, BJ Penn Forever.

Who knows though, there could be some good scraps on the card. Plus maybe see some new up and comers to follow.

Tenshin is having a boxing match against Koki Kameda June 22nd, shocked they didn't add it to this card

Outside of new year they don’t have the TV money that Pride used to have.

Only heard of Cruickshank unfortunately. Those other fighters could be great though I have just never had the opportunity.

Shit at least Erson takes a whooping fun to watch,Miyuu's fights are all the same Jon Fitch tactics but with even less striking or GnP.

I don't think we are necessarily their target demo though.

I have to assume they are under intense pressure from ONE FC, in terms of grabbing talent

Ayaka Hamasaki and Jinh Yu Frey are women. Hamasaki is actually undefeated for ten years at AW. Her only loses are at SW. She is very skilled. She is the RIZIN champ and Frey is the Invicta champ. It will likely be one of the better fights on the card.

For sure. NYE is the big night for RIZIN. Imagine if ONE comes in and gets a big TV deal for NYE. They already have a deal were Shooto champs to earn ONE contracts and they just signed Akiyama and they already have Aoki, Okami, and the former SW champs Naito and Surata.

I can see them crushing Rizin on NYE in Japan if they made it a goal.

Sure I want to watch Tenshin and Asakura but I can't stayup all night for this. I'm sure most Americans feel the same way, and yeah, I get that the card is not for us, just saying.

Codes only work for first time fite.tv buyers. Did not want any repeat customers to lose out here. I entered a code after I'd already purchased from fite.tv and learned the hard way.

On the MMA side yeah, I guess the millennials really like their WMMA. I'd say Tenshin is the biggest draw, he is headlining the card but not listed when I made the thread. He is actually walking out right now.

Why does bloodyelbow run a Rizin article claiming to have results and discussion and then provide neither in the article and just a link to purchase it? Nobody goes to bloodyelbow to purchase PPVs.

Rizin's drawing card is its rule set.  Most high level fighters go where the money is and where they don't have to worry about being stomped and kicked on the ground.  I say the more a fighter can do, the better.

Excited for the Heun fight. He’s an old buddy of mine from Hawaii.
