I never extend or lock the sub and tell them this is the rare part of training where you learn a way out other than tapping

I like training with people that have control and that I trust.  I will let them go for leg locks and other dangerous moves so I can practice escapes and they can practice moves that aren’t really thought in  It’s a win win.

When I train with spazs I give them no chance,  I won’t risk getting hurt and I teach them nothing

If you’re not putting yourself in dangerous positions at times with lower belts you’re wasting your time. Some of the best partners can be blues and purples imo just because of the energy you get from them.

This and the opposite for lower belts vs higher belts.

If you're a lower belt vs high, hammer the basics and you can always find a way to a safe position which can inevitably lead to the higher belt stopping you before tapping them ;)
