Winston Wolf - Sprawl'n'Stall - Hard to know how trolling or not is going on here. But a reason wrestling can piss fans off is that because it neutralized the other guy's offense unless he's a great sub guy from his back.
I mean good striking and sub games are back and forth, and even with good defense, the other dude can mount some offense, especially striking.
While if you take a guy down and lay & pray, or wall & stall, it becomes one sided, or neutralized for both. Few people dislike takedowns, slams, and all.
so many wrestlers incorperate BJJ and ground and pound id say almost every single wrestler in UFC has good solid BJJ on the ground
In The UFC? Of course. But most use BJJ defensively.
Look, I'm NOT the one hating on wrestling! Great martial arts, and one that allows you to dictate where the fight goes, allows you to hit while taking next to no damage? Smart smart to use for those who are trained in it. And there's the grit, metal toughness and hellish pace most wrestlers possess.
My point was just that people like excitement, danger, thrills, adrenaline. When two guys can mount offense, the pace is higher, there's space between the two opponents, it's just more exciting than a guy being controlled on the ground or against the cage.
