Whole corn, uncooked - any problem dropping a cob in the tank?  Do not any more snail deaths lol.

Thanks!

Yes, the problem is, their assholes are too small to pass the kernels and they end up bleeding out.

LOL, they don't eat the kernals whole you know.  Well, I don't know that for a fact, as I've never seen snails eat corn, but it would seem almost certainly the case given their small mouths lol.

Snails do in fact eat corn. They are a blight to Midwest farmers. A single snail can decimate thousands of times its weight in a corn crops. They can and do eat up to 3 ears of corn eat in a day. Most die from passing kernels thru their digestive system and when the kernels aren't properly chewed, they get their assholes ripped out.

Havent dropped in in yet, but no, no butter is going on it, and especially not any salt lol.

The salt thing is a fallacy. Take a handful of salt, throw it onto whatever you are feeding your shelled friends and watch them start to drool. They love salt.

Dear lord, literally 7 seconds after I put it in, even before I could get the first pic of it, 2 had already converged on it.  I think that corn cob is about to get raped, and not tastefully either!!

You've trained your snails to charge on anything that you drop in the tank because it will be tasty.

Haha, its funny striking, you can almost precisely measure their smell radius.  When you put something in, those within a certain distance almost all change whatever direction they were heading and towards towards it.  Those just a few centermeters further out just keep going.  The distance differs with food thats that smell stronger/weaker, but not as much as one would think.  Just a casual oversevation, could be wrong, but it sure seems that way!

Indeed!  This is awesome!  35 cents each, and it is so calorie dense it will likely keep them full for days!!!

This is BIZZAIRE!  See in pic below - they were all trying to gang bang it then they all, almost on queue, left it and strated streaking to the top.  They are handing at the top now right at the waterline.  Might the corn have so many calories compared to what they are used to eating that they can just do a few noms noms noms then all done, time to procreate?

Thanks!!!
