What if ... Is cat food fit for human consumption?

Most cat food is fucking nasty.  Like that pate shit, looks and smells totally freaking nappy.  However, have you guys seen these Frisky's Shreds?  The look and smell AMAZING.  They have different flavors, salmon, chicken and beef and I think one more.  The chicken and beef ones litereally smell like chicken and beef fajitas.  Even the salmon one does not smell too bad, and that says a lot as I am not much of a fish guy and especially hate salmon lol.  Plus these things are pretty darned cheap - like $14  at my local Wal-Mart for 32 cans!  One could save a LOT of money if one could eat these a few times a day in place of regular meals.

So I was thinking of trying them.  But are they fit for human consumption?  I don't want to try them if they are so cheap because the do less quality control or what not and that makes them more dangerous since they are only supposed to be fed to cats, not humans.  Or if they just use nasty ingredients are gross but somehow desguise the grossness of the raw materials.

Thanks!

Haven't driven in in awhile, but when I did, I ALWAYS put premium as I believe if you don't it would pull some of the HP, and I can't have that happening lol.

But how is that even relevant to the topic of this thread?  You must be about to troll with something... sigh...

I tried a dog treat pepperoni sick once. Not very good.

Glad we got the trademark Homeslice feet or toe/s in the pic as well!

Pet food is generally safe to eat.  The companies follow GMP's that are basically the same as human food.  You should definitely start eating it.  You will save a lot of money.  There are tons of old people that live off of cat food.  If it's good for them, it will be fine for you.

You'll only put premium in your car but will put any cheap shit you can find in your body.

Buys $14 dress shirts from Walmart, homemade aquarium filters, and considering eating cat food but only uses premium gas!

I know he's full of shit but at least keep it consistent.

Story from a coworker.

He was at a fish processing plant installing software. This particular plant sells frozen fish ‘meal’ (it’s ground fish frozen on metal plates) to a major cat food company. The company then mixes whatever else with it and cuts and shapes it.

So he is watching the hopper outside, where they throw the fish bodies / guts / to be ground up. A seagull tries to grab something and gets pulled right in, ground up and added to the mix.

So - I wouldn’t eat ever cat food based on that story.

Most food manufacturers don't work outdoors.  Why would they have a hopper outside?  What happens on rainy, snowy, cold days?  Do they not work or am I misunderstanding and this was indoors?
