Over a week ago the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NAC) has suspended all combat sports events in the state until March 25, in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak. On March 25, CSAC will meet to determine the status of events held thereafter.
"I've been in constant contact with a litany of doctors and medical professionals and am intimately familiar with all professional and amateur sports events being suspended at this point in time for an undetermined period," said executive director Bob Bennett to Marc Raimondi for ESPN. "I will continue to collect information and speak with various medical experts and be prepared to provide the information to the chairman and commissioners on March 25."
A Tuff-N-Uff event scheduled for Saturday night was canceled.
UFC on ESPN 8 is scheduled to take place on March 28, at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, just three days after the meeting; the fighters will already be in Nevada for the event.
