No one wanted a lockdown.

Had this orange fuckface taken this pandemic more serious much sooner, we wouldn't have been in this situation. He is responsible for our market crash and all of the American deaths.

Seriously, fuck Trump. Biden 2020.

Fauci said the first and only time he formally asked for a shutdown of our economy Trump quickly granted it.

So he took it seriously at the very first formal request to react to it based on the recommendations of his experts at the CDC and so forth.

Previous to that, you might be able to ding Trump for saying the virus wasn't a massive threat, but we now know he was parroting the experts at the CDC who said the virus wasn't a threat and Americans should be more concerned with the seasonal flu.

I get that you don't like Trump, but he did what his experts asked him to do when they asked him to do it. If you don't like the timing of that, how is that Trump's fault? Was he suppose to preempt his own team of experts and just blindly close the economy without their formal recommendation a short time after those same experts said not to worry?

Fauci, starting in the Middle of February, was put in check by Trump and no longer allowed to speak publicly without the "task force" approval. He is now a regulated puppet for Trump any time he speaks.

You want to condemn Fauci and pretend that he isn't coached into what public message he can state...

[Q: What happens before each press conference? What do you do as a group?

A: (Fauci)We’re in the task force. We sit down for an hour and a half, go over all the issues on the agenda. And then we proceed from there to an anteroom right in front of the Oval Office to talk about what are going to be the messages, what are the kind of things we’re going to want to emphasize? Then we go in to see the president, we present [our consensus] to him and somebody writes a speech. Then he gets up and ad libs on his speech. And then we’re up there to try and answer questions.]

It sounds like Fauci and his merry band try to coach the President, not the other way around.

You didn’t help your case here.

Yes, actual medical EXPERTS certainly do try and tell Trump what the best courses of action are, and then he goes ad lib and says retarded shit constantly and they are forced to try and answer questions afterwards to save him.

The point remains that Fauci is a mouthpiece for Trump and the Task Force since the middle of February.

But behind closed doors, they offer their expertise and advice (that Trump seems to ignore sometimes) that differs from what they are allowed to say publicly.

I find it very odd that opinions on a virus are almost completely split down party lines.

Don't forget the WHOs role in disinformation making many countries late to react.  Only reason south Korea got so ahead is they saw the WHO for what it was.

Another Trump smokescreen to avoid taking responsibility.

And the other poster is correct. We have a virus that is split along party lines. GOP putting ideology first and politicizing a public health crisis.

Trump was given warnings by his intelligence agencies months ago. Blaming the WHO for not acting is bullshit.
