This month we have a dream fight for those street fight historians that lurk around the UG. On February 19th, two bare-knuckle warriors turned MMA fighters will fight each other on one of the biggest MMA stages in the world in Bellator Fighting Championship. This matchup features internet legend and former UFC fighter Kimbo Slice (5-2 MMA) as he takes on the other internet fist fighting star Dhafir Harris (2-0 MMA), or as many know him by his name DADA 5000.

DADA 5000 is one of the more successful internet street fighters and for them to be fighting in a cage is matchmaking at it's finest. There is so much to prove in this fight as DADA 5000 could have been taken down the road that Kimbo went on. But it seems the general public can only put their focus on one bearded street fighter from Miami at a time, so it's time to settle this.

Kimbo and DADA are two street fighters that the world has been begging to see fight since way before they even stepped into a cage. They have a great backstory as these are two friends that are turned foes and to finally get them into a cage to fight is one of the best things that Bellator has ever done. Most of us street fight fans would have been happy seeing these two fight in a parking lot, as long as it was well lit and someone had a steady hand with an iPhone.

Obviously this is a little bit of a spectacle, as DADA 5000 isn't the most polished MMA fighter in the world and has only had two previous professional MMA bouts. But this is what the fans want and as an MMA fan, it is much appreciated when a promotion makes fights that the fans want. Thank you, Scott.

Like many other Kimbo Slice fights, he fights on some of the biggest stages and can attract eyes to the sport that would never tune in. So as a whole, this is a good thing for the sport, we hope.

What's unique about this fight card is that the main event is a rematch between Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie, over twenty years after their first bout. The nostalgia factor here will be a big reason many fans will be tuning into SPIKE TV that night.

Let us take a trip down memory lane to the fights time DADA 5000 tried to test out his skills in a professional mixed martial arts bout. He fought in a local Florida promotion called the Action Fight League in the "Rock-N-Rumble 2" event against the 0-4 heavyweight Cedric James. The fight had specks of excitement as many heavyweight fights do between guys willing to throw hands. But this fight had some controversy where the winless fighter, Cedric James had DADA 5000 mounted, only for the ref to stand them up from this position, a big no-no in the sport. This controversial and amateur move by the referee set up the eventual TKO finish by DADA.

Let's hope that he tightened up his ground skills, as we know Kimbo has been training his ground game with some of the best for years now. Tune in February 19th on SPIKE TV for Bellator 149.
