It may not be one of the most recognizable head kicks in the world of MMA, but it is certainly one that stands out.

There have been many famous head kick KOs in the history of Mixed Martial Arts.

From Holly Holm shocking the world when she Head Kicked Ronda rousey at UFC 193, to Gabriel Gonzaga's jaw dropping head kick of perhaps the greatest Head kick artist ever in Mirko Cro Crop back in 2007.

Rarely, however, have we seen a head kick land and literally spin the opponent around so they are facing the opposite direction before falling to the ground
unconscious.

That's exactly what happened in this video From the STFC : Bad Blood event on February 22, 2013. The fight took place between MMA fighters Vaughn Govia and Miguel Saenz.

The video starts at the beginning of round 2. You can see Saenz throw a light jab at Govia before switching stances and throwing another. Govia then switches
stances himself before pressing Saenz and letting off a beautifully timed left high kick.

The kick lands to the right side of miguel's face causing him to spin counter-clockwise and end up facing the opposite direction.

Saenz is already unconscious before he even hits the ground. He slumps against the cage before falling, and as he does Govia goes in for the kill.

Thanks to some excellent refereeing by Jacob Montalvo, Govia only manages to land one punch before Jacob throws himself in the way thus stopping the fight. Jacob Montalvo's quick reactions saved Saenz from taking anymore unnecessary damage.

Vaughn Govia has since fought twice and won both contests, amassing himself a 4 and 0 record as an MMA fighter. Miguel saenz bad luck continued however as
he then went on to lose a split decision 1 year later, and hasn't fought since.
