Al Batal ends successful 2nd season with big fight

Al Batal, the all-Arab MMA reality show that has been airing on Fox and Fox Movies for the past 13 weeks in the Middle East and North Africa regions, just released the season finals!  Both Fox and Fox Movies broadcasted the Reality TV show to over 60,000,000 homes on each channel, and the show has received hit ratings, ensuring an upcoming 3rd season for the series.

The finals of the show featured PK-1 Muay Thai Champion (Thailand) Tariq Ismail Vs. De La Riva BJJ Black Belt Walid Seghir.  The fight went the full three rounds, with Tariq being named the winner inside the ring, only to have the score cards reviewed and the decision reversed.  It was a great fight with good back and forth action, and will really be viewed as one of those historic MMA fights in the history of Arab MMA.

Coaches of Team Elbe were BJJ Black Belt and long-time UGer “Magical” Ray Elbe, assisted by One FC veteran Ole Laursen of K-1 max fame, and former Lumpinee standout Khunsuek Saphaporn.

Coaches for Team Baghdad were RFA LW Champion Mehdi Baghdad of Blackhouse, assisted by UFC veteran Jorge Lopes, and Undefeated French MMA Karate Champion Cedric Escudero.

Fight starts at 9:12 of the video, with the rest of the episode really being dedicated to the drama of the scorecards mistake.
