Bellator 280 additions for Paris include Lorenz Larkin vs. Anthony Adams

Bellator Europe boss David Green reveals lineup for promotion's May return to France, which includes a Ryan Bader vs. Cheick Kongo headliner.

PARIS – Bellator MMA announced and confirmed several fights at a press conference in the French capital today, as promotion officials, fighters and guests spoke on the upcoming Bellator 280 fight card set for the Accor Arena in Paris on Friday, May 6.

The announcement adds to an already stacked card headlined by heavyweight world champion Ryan Bader (29-7 MMA, 7-2 BMMA) rematching with Parisian MMA icon Cheick Kongo (31-11-2 MMA, 13-3 BMMA), plus a supporting light heavyweight co-main event, as Yoel Romero (13-6 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) and Melvin Manhoef (32-15-1 MMA, 4-4 BMMA) square off in a fight sure to get pulses racing.

Speakers at today's press event included Bellator MMA's Head of Europe David Green, President of the French Boxing Federation Dominique Nato, Editorial Director of RMC Sports Laurent Salvaudaon and a flurry of French fighters competing on the night: Gregory Babene (21-11 MMA, 3-0 BMMA), Lucie Bertaud (3-3 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), Fabacary Diatta (8-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA), Davy Gallon (20-7-2 MMA, 2-0 BMMA), Yves Landu (16-9 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) and Joel Kouadja (7-8 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).

"Bellator 280: Bader vs. Kongo 2" will be broadcast live at 10 p.m. CEST local time/4 p.m. ET on Showtime (U.S.), RMC (France) BBC Three and BBC iPlayer (U.K.) and several other broadcast partners around the globe.

"It is huge for us to be returning to Paris and its historic surroundings for the second time in three years with yet another world title fight on European soil," head of Bellator Europe David Green

"The card is stacked from top to bottom and is headlined by a heavyweight championship rematch between two of the best fighters in MMA history in Cheick Kongo and Ryan Bader. The first fight ended in a no contest, and I'm sure both fighters will have unfinished business when they meet again inside the Bellator cage.

"With less than six weeks to go now you can feel the excitement building. We are committed to bringing the very best fighters on our roster to compete in Europe and we can't wait to put on a world class show for MMA fans in France."

The latest additions to the electrifying Bellator 280 card confirms a hair raising clash on the main card, as two American middleweights do battle with Lorenz "The Monsoon" Larkin (23-7 MMA, 5-2 BMMA) taking on Anthony "Sugafoot" Adams (9-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA). The 35-year-old Larkin will be looking to continue his impressive five-in-a-row winning streak but faces a tough task against "Sugafoot," who will be looking to continue the momentum from his victory at Bellator 266.

Another all-American heavyweight bout packed with big knockout potential tops the prelim card as Davion "All Day" Franklin (5-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) clashes with Daniel "The American Predator" James (13-6 MMA, 1-0 BMMA). "The American Predator" James has three successive stoppage victories and will be looking to put on a powerful performance against "All Day," however the unbeaten 27-year-old will be out to keep his perfect record intact.

Two further fierce looking domestic bouts featuring four Bellator debutants have also been added to the preliminary card. Firstly, Matthieu Letho Duclos (1-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) takes on Youcef Ouabbas (2-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). Meanwhile, in what is set to be a closely fought welterweight battle, Bourama Camara (4-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) faces up to Victor Verchere (5-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in the opening bout of the night.
