"As we continue our fast-paced growth, BKFC will always look to add talented fighters to our roster.:
Said Herrig, "I've watched closely what Dave and his team at BKFC have built and truly want to test myself in bare-knuckle fighting. At this point in my career I'm ready for a new challenge and there is nothing bigger and better than BKFC."
Competing as a strawweight, the Chicago area native Herrig amassed an MMA record of 14-10, including a 5-5 mark in the UFC and also competed in Bellator and Invicta FC including victories over notables such Alexa Grasso, Cortney Casey and Kailan Curran.
Herrig also battled current BKFC star Paige VanZant in 2015, losing a very hotly contested unanimous decision.
