BRAVE Combat Federation has confirmed the signing of Izzedine Al-Derbani on a longterm deal as the Palestinian fighter is set to join the organization's growing bantamweight division.
Izzedine comes in with a 13-2 record and is currently riding a five-fight win streak. Al-Derbani also has notable victories over the likes of Yousif Ghrairi, Hussein Salem and former world title challenger Hamza Kooheji.
"The Samurai is coming to conquer all," Al-Derbani wrote in a statement through his social media profiles. "I want to announce that I have signed with BRAVE CF. Stay tuned for my first fight in this huge organization. Thank you to all the people behind me for the support in my upcoming fights."
BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid shared his excitement for the signing of Al-Derbani, saying he would have the chance to prove he is one of the best bantamweights not just in the Middle East but also in the world.
"We're very excited to welcome Izzedine to the BRAVE CF family," Shahid stated. "Bantamweight is one of the most exciting divisions at BRAVE CF, and he is here to show that he's not only one of the best 135-pounders in the Middle East but also in the world. At BRAVE CF, he will have the opportunity to fight around the world and earn his stripes in the most global MMA promotion."
Al-Derbani joins a killer's row of bantamweights currently signed by BRAVE CF, which includes his former foe Kooheji, and the likes of Gamzat Magomedov, Jose Torres, Kasum Kasumov, Nkosi Ndebele, and the reigning champion, Canada's own Brad Katona.
