Marcin Bandel relishing BRAVE CF 58 challenge, eager to put on a show for Korea

Saturday's BRAVE CF 58 marks the first time the organization hosts a show in East Asia.

One of the top MMA grapplers in Europe, Marcin Bandel (20-7-1) is looking to position himself for a title shot at BRAVE CF's stacked super welterweight division. The Polish star takes on Luis Felipe Dias (14-3), one of Brazil's finest exports in the division, and is relishing the challenge of going up against Dias at BRAVE CF 58 in Korea.

"Bomba" is coming off a huge victory against previously undefeated Magomed Ayskhanov back at BRAVE CF 54 and feels his Brazilian counterpart will provide an even bigger challenge this time around.

"Of course, I saw him fight and my coaches have seen him too," Bandel said. "He's a good guy, very tough. He will be a big challenge for me, and I need these challenges, they push me to do my best. My last opponent was also very good and I won, and this Saturday, I'm going to give my best and hopefully win again."

An experienced fighter, who has been around the world, Marcin will be making his Asia debut at BRAVE CF 58 and is excited for the opportunity to showcase his skills to the Korean audience.

"I'm really excited to see Korea," Bandel said. "This is my first time in Asia. This is one of the best parts of sports, traveling, meeting new people, and making new friends. I think this is better than a salary. Some people don't like (to fight away from home), because of the time difference, but I think that maybe 1 percent of Polish people will ever have the chance of visiting Korea, so I'm happy to be here."

BRAVE CF 58 marks the first time the organization hosts a show in East Asia, with Korea becoming the 26th overall nation to welcome BRAVE Combat Federation to their land. In the main event of the evening, Mzwandile Hlongwa takes on local superstar In Jae La, with athletes from 10 nations expected to see action on Saturday.
