A bare-knuckle matchup pitting Mike Perry vs Julian Lane has been finalized and is expected to take place at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship's upcoming event in February. was first to report the booking that was later confirmed with sources by MMAJunkie. The biout is planned for the BKFC: Knucklemania 2 card set for Feb. 19 in Hollywood, Fla. The fight is likely to take place at a weight of 175-pounds.

The booking is a result of a brawl that took place between Perry and Lane at the promotion's event early in Dec. While Perry did guest commentary during the broadcast, he was on the receiving end of trash talk from Lane and was eventually hit in the face, with what looked to be an event flier, by the BKFC veteran. Considering the volatile personalities involved, the incident unsurprisingly led to a fight that spilled into the crowd and required promotion boss David Feldman to get involved to break things up.

Mike Perry vs Julian Lane planned for BKFC: Knucklemania 2

UFC veteran Perry signed with BKFC in Oct. after his contract with the MMA world leader reportedly expired. "Platinum" competed in the Octagon on 15 occasions between 2016 and '21. He lost eight of those matchups and fell in key bouts against UFC mainstays Donald Cerrone, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Vicente Luque, and Geoff Neal.

Perry did score wins over notable names such as Paul Felder, Alex Oliveira, and Mickey Gall. during his UFC run. However, he lost four of his last five bouts in the Octagon. The rough patch surely had an effect on his bargaining power when it came time to sign a new contract with the Las Vegas-based promotion.

The 30-year-old also made his Triller debut in Nov. when he competed on the organization's first Triad Combat event. Perry beat Michael Seals by split-decision in the mixed-rules event that does not allow kicks or takedowns.

Lane is an Ultimate Fighter season 16 and 25 alum who will forever be known in MMA circles for uttering the now-infamous, "let me bang bro" line during his first run on the reality series. In recent years, he has become a stalwart of the bare-knuckle fighting outfit. Having competed in the BKFC ring six times, and going 2-4 in those fights.
