PFL second half kicks off with lightweights, light heavyweights June 17 on ESPN

Atlanta hosts 2022 PFL 4, featuring Clay Collard vs. Alexander Martinez, live from Overtime Elite Arena.

NEW YORK – The Professional Fighters League today announced its main event and full card matchups for its second half kickoff, 2022 PFL 4, taking place on June 17 at Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Fresh off a "Fight of the Year" performance against Jeremy Stephens at PFL 1, popular slugger Clay Collard (21-9) is back on the marquee, slated to take on Alexander Martinez (9-2) in the lightweight division. Martinez defeated Scottish veteran Stevie Ray to begin his 2022 campaign.

In the co-main event, 2021 light heavyweight world champion Antonio Carlos Jr. (14-5) will duel with 2022 PFL challenger series winner Bruce Souto (15-4). Carlos Jr. racked up six points with a first round submission of Delan Monte at PFL 1. Carlos Jr. looks to earn a PFL playoff berth and secure the top seed in the division. Souto is looking to earn his first PFL win and slow the 2021 champion's momentum in the process.

PFL 2021 lightweight world champion Raush Manfio (16-3) will take on "The Canadian Gangster" Olivier Aubin-Mercier (14-5) in a battle of PFL 1 winners. Manfio stopped South African Don Madge late in the third round. Aubin-Mercier gritted out a close split-decision win over two-time PFL champion Natan Schulte

Rounding out the ESPN card, Jeremey Stephens faces Ireland's Myles Price in a lightweight bout. Both fighters are coming off losses and will need finishes to keep their 2022 PFL playoff hopes alive.

"The first half of the 2022 PFL regular \season saw unmatched action and excitement that can only be generated in the unique season based format the Professional Fighters League offers," PFL CEO Peter Murray said. "As we head into the 2022 season's second half, the stakes are higher with playoff berths and positioning in the balance. The PFL cannot wait to continue what has been an incredible season and bring the best in MMA to the millions of fans around the globe."

"The PFL has the best roster in MMA, which was on full display in our first three regular season events”, PFL president of fighter operations Ray Sefo said. "At PFL 4, fans will see the heart and desire of our athletes as they fight their way to the playoffs.”

The second half of the 2022 PFL season begins June 17 on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ in primetime. The remaining regular season events will take place on June 24 and July 1. Tickets to see PFL live at OTE Arena in Atlanta are available now.

PFL is the first and only MMA league with a true sports-season format where elite fighters from around the world compete in a Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship. The four competitors in each division who earn the most points advance to the win-or-go-home Playoffs, followed by the biggest night in MMA – the PFL World Championship – with each winner going home with the $1 million prize.
