The List: 5 fights to make after ONE on Prime Video 2

Taking a look at some exciting potential matchups following an incredible night of action across multiple disciplines.

ONE on Prime Video 2 showcased some of the most exciting martial arts action of the year so far.

Featuring a pair of world title bouts and matchups spread across four different combat sports, the card was topped by an instant fight of the year contender as "The Panda" Xiong Jing Nan and "Unstoppable" Angela Lee went to war in their highly anticipated trilogy fight.

Now that the dust has settled, let's look at five fights that could be made following the blockbuster event.

Xiong Jing Nan vs. Angela Lee 4

After three world championship matches and nearly 75 full minutes shared in the ONE circle, it's clear that Xiong (18-2) and Lee (11-3) are a recipe for fireworks.

At ONE on Prime Video 2, Xiong retained her ONE women's strawweight world title with a hard-fought unanimous decision win. However, Lee battled back from the brink of defeat early to take control in the later rounds and push her Chinese rival to the limit.

After the fight, "Unstoppable" made it no secret that she disagreed with the judges' decision, thus setting the table for a fourth contest between the two bitter rivals.

And if both women are down, then who would say no to yet another war between these two ONE World Champions?

Mikey Musumeci vs. Demetrious Johnson

Sometimes, the next move is all too obvious.

Minutes after he captured the inaugural ONE flyweight submission grappling world championship with his victory over Cleber Sousa, Brazilian jiu-jitsu sensation Mikey Musumeci took to the mic to make a "respectful request to roll" with all-time MMA great Demetrious Johnson.

For his part, Johnson is ready and willing to test his grappling skills against the man known as "Darth Rigatoni."

A match between the two – perhaps with Musumeci's new belt on the line – is a no-brainer that would bring together jiu-jitsu and MMA fans worldwide.

Ilya Freymanov vs. Kim Jae Woong

Promotional newcomer Ilya Freymanov (11-2) announced himself as a player in the featherweight division in a big way with his spectacular knockout of former divisional king and No. 3-ranked contender Martin Nguyen.

Now looking for another step up in competition, the Russian would match up well with Korean knockout artist Kim Jae Woong (12-5).

Currently ranked second in the division, Kim also holds a stoppage victory over Nguyen and would happily go toe-to-toe in a fan-friendly striking battle with Freymanov.

If it were to happen, that bout could decide the next challenger for Tang Kai's featherweight gold.

Halil Amir vs. Saygid Izagakhmaev

Freymanov wasn't the only debuting fighter to make a splash at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Undefeated Turkish lightweight Halil Amir (8-0) displayed his devastating stand-up repertoire in a sensational, second-round knockout of longtime ONE veteran Timofey Nastyukhin.

Just one day prior at ONE 161, surging Dagestani grappling specialist Saygid Izagakhmaev defeated Zhang Lipeng to move to 21-2 in his career.

In what would be an intriguing striker versus grappler affair, Amir vs. Izagakhmaev pits two of the division's fastest rising stars against each other with serious world title implications on the line.

Marat Grigorian vs. Giorgio Petrosyan

Marat Grigorian and Giorgio Petrosyan are two of the top pound-for-pound kickboxers of their generation, so it comes as a surprise that they have never met in competition.

After Grigorian earned a thrilling decision win over Tayfun Ozcan, the stage is now set for the two legendary strikers to clash inside the Circle.

Both men have suffered defeats to current ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn and now find themselves in similar positions, so a matchup between the two makes plenty of sense and would be one of the biggest kickboxing bouts in recent memory.
