UFC 274 weigh-in results: Charles Oliveira misses weight, stripped of title

Check out the athletes from UFC 274 looking to make their bouts official for Saturday's event in Phoenix.

PHOENIX – MMA Underground was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s UFC 274 official weigh-ins, where Charles Oliveira was stripped of his title after failing to make weight.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Phoenix, and preceded the day's ceremonial weigh-ins, which take place at 7 p.m. ET at Arizona Federal Theatre. UFC 274 takes place on Saturday at Footprint Center, with a main card airing on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

Oliveira (32-8 MMA, 20-8 UFC) weighed 155.5 pounds on his first trip to the scale and was given an additional hour to make his bout official. When he returned to the scale, he was still 155.5 pounds, forcing him to vacate the title.

His main event against former interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje (23-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) will still take place, but only "The Highlight" has the ability to leave with the belt. Should Oliveira win, the title would remain vacant.
