UFC Vegas 38 was an event that saw half of the fights end inside the distance -- and many by knockout. Yet despite the violent end to most of the bouts, only a few of the 24 combatants on the card may need extended stays on the injured list.

This past Saturday's event inside the UFC APEX, in Las Vegas, Nev. featured a matchup of top-10 light heavyweights between Brazilians Thiago Santos (22-9) and Johnny Walker (18-6). Despite both men's reputations for finishing fights early, the matchup went the full 25 minutes and saw "Marreta" end his recent losing skid by unanimous decision.

Both men are facing the possibility of a six-month medical suspension from the injuries incurred during their five-round main event.

Despite being knocked silly from an accidental clash of heads, co-main event participant Kevin Holland (21-7) left the event with just a lip laceration that will require a few weeks away from training. Opponent Kyle Daukaus is free to train and is facing no suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission.
