KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Tonight, Invicta Fighting Championships returns with a night full of the most talented women in combat sports.
In the night's main event, one of the most exciting strawweights on the planet, Emily Ducote (10-6), looks to score another devastating knockout when she defends her 115-pound title against former atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella (9-3). The five-round battle is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats throughout. The action can be watched live and free beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

The card includes six additional matchups, as former headliner Courtney "The Lion" King (4-2) collides with Stockton, California's Chelsea Chandler (3-1) in the featherweight co-feature, Phoenix Tournament finalist Lindsey "Damsel" VanZandt (7-5) squares off with fellow New York native "Lionheart" Jillian DeCoursey (4-3) at atomweight, and former strawweight title challenger Janaisa "Evil Princess" Morandin (10-4) of Brazil takes on countrywoman Liana "Li" Pirosin (7-4) in a flyweight bout.
"Invicta FC 47: Ducote vs. Zappitella" will be overseen by the Kansas Athletic Commission and will feature open scoring.
