Watch 2022 IMMAF Oceania Championship Finals at this weekend

Two-day tournament streams live from the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

LONDON – The finals of the 2022 IMMAF Oceania Championships are to be live-streamed internationally from Brisbane on on Sunday, July 10 from 2 p.m. AEST local time (midnight ET).

The continental MMA tournament will be available to subscribers only on the platform worldwide, except for in Oceania, for which broadcast details are to be announced shortly.

Hosted by IMMAFA (the official amateur federation of MMA in Australia), the finals mark the culmination of the two-day, nations tournament taking place from 9 to 10 July, at the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre. The championship is set to feature some of the best talent from across the continent (including Australia, New Zealand and French Polynesia), battling for gold, silver or bronze medals and to secure a spot on their national team for the IMMAF World Championships. The tournament draw takes place on Friday, July 8.

New Zealand arrives at the event as a favorite after the triumph of many of their athletes at 2021 IMMAF World Championships. 

Fergus Jenkins was the biggest breakout star of the team in the tournament that took place in Abu Dhabi, after he secured the gold medal in the middleweight division. Michelle Montague, recently turned pro, is another of New Zealand's most prominent athletes.

On the Australian side, Troy Fumo is an athlete to keep an eye on with a gold medal from the 2020 Oceania's on his record.

French Polynesia participated for the first time on the IMMAF platform in 2020 at the Oceania Championships, with Hiro Lemaire scoring a gold medal for the region in the super heavyweight category.

Participation in IMMAF Continental Championships accrues ranking points for athletes and teams in the World Amateur MMA Rankings, with top-performing athletes seeded for the end-of-year IMMAF World Championships.
