UnderGround Forums UFC fights we want in 2021: Jones vs Blaydes/Lewis

Jon Jones’ move up to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s heavyweight division will be a major story in 2021. How the former light heavyweight king makes the transition to being a larger version of his lanky-legged self could dictate the division’s title picture. That’s why we demand the UFC makes this fight in 2021, or we war!

It would be fascinating to see the 33-year-old “Bones” climb the heavyweight ladder step-by-step into contention. But let’s be real, the best 205-pound fighter ever doesn’t need to do that. And when the UFC’s parent company Endeavor still has debts to pay, you bet your ass they have to fast track a top star into money-making title fights.

I have no interest in watching Blaydes fight anyone ever again except Francis N'gannou.

Let's just hope that John Jones doesn't let his LNS get the best of him this time so that he can pass a test.

I wonder how much fried chicken and corn bread he needed to get to heavy weight.

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'BRIOL "' I know a lot of people don't care; I have a family. I'm out here trying to feed my family. I don't care if you want me to risk my win bonus, which is $100k, you want me to risk $100k to stand and bang with a guy who has terrible wresting. Nah. Nah. I'm just not gonna do it. Risky for JBJ fighting for the belt after moving up in weight and a 1.5 yr layoff. I'll bet against him

Itd be more risky for the ufc to not have him fight for the belt his first fight at hw as if he loses, there goes their super huge payday. given his track record at lhw and his historical status as probably the greatest fighter ever, having him fight for the belt his first fight is the only thing that makes sense.
