How to escape the worst position in a fight when you have a knife to your throat
Being mounted in a street fight is perhaps one of the worst positions you can find yourself in and also is a common tactic used by violent sexual offenders. One of the only things that could make this situation even worse is if the attacker also happens to have a weapon on them such as a knife and is holding to your throat which drastically narrows down your options for retaliation and escape.
So what techniques would be at your disposal if you found yourself in this scenario on the street? In the following Krav Maga Training self-defense video, KMT instructor Luca Goffi breaks down this very scenario. Throughout the lesson you will learn what to do when you are mounted, how to minimize the potential of getting cut by a bladed weapon, sweeping your attacker to gain a dominant position as well as how to then control the attacker and neutralize him until further assistance arrives.

Krav Maga’s answer to a knife held to your groin
Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from aikido, judo, boxing, and wrestling, along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks. It was derived from street-fighting skills developed by Hungarian-Israeli martial artist Imi Lichtenfeld, who made use of his training as a boxer and wrestler as a means of defending the Jewish quarter against fascist groups in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia in the mid-to-late 1930s. It has since been refined for civilian, police and military applications. [Source: Wiki]
