MMA fighter talks trash – gets pulled into crowd
Way back in March 2006 in Evansville, Indiana, Jason “The White Lion” Bryant took on local hero Heath Pedigo in regional promotion Hook n Shoot. After losing to Pedigo by armbar, Bryant chose to not simply leave the ring, head back to the dressing room and review what went wrong, and instead decided to grab the microphone and address the crowd, who were none too pleased with what he had to say.
“Would anyone else want some of me? Step up now! What’s up?” Jason asks before literally puffing out his chest and pointing questioningly at members of the crowd.
“Do I need to say it again? This is my house too!” The White Lion yells at the already angry crowd.
He then confidently strides towards the locker room, even slapping a few outstretched hands on his way. Unfortunately for him, one of those hands was not friendly and pulled him down into the middle of a whole lot of people who sought vengeance on him for his loud mouth. Fortunately for him, he was pulled into a portion of the crowd populated by many of the friends he’s brought from his own hometown of Louisville, KY.
Bryant topples into the crowd, nearly landing on a small child and his grandfather. From that point on, it’s all fists and chairs and bad intentions.
It wasn’t long before Jason, with the help of his friends, was able to escape mostly unscathed.
Grabbing the mic one more time, Jason tells the crowd “that was some sorry stuff back there, for real” before being shooed away by Hook n Shoot promoter Jeff Osborne.
