The most awkward street fight you’ve EVER seen with an even more awkward finish
We’ve seen a lot of fights go down, but never one quite like this. While the choke finish was fun to watch, it was also pretty dangerous. Good thing the winner let go right away.
A full minute of parking lot mayhem, including a wheelbarrow position, a spinning wheel of death technique, punches to the face, and a choke out finish like we’ve never seen before. The loser ends up face down on the pavement. These guys obviously train in some kind of martial arts. (that’s a lie)
Unlike sport-fighting, a street fight might involve weapons, multiple opponents or revenge and has no rules. The venue is usually a public place (e.g. a street) and the fight often results in a serious injury or even death.
The main difference between street fighting and a self-defense situation is that a street fight is avoidable, whereas a self-defense situation is not. The other main difference is that the fight is consensual between both parties.
A typical situation might involve two men arguing in a bar, or a parking lot in this case, then one suggests stepping outside, where the fight commences. Thus, it is often possible to avoid the fight by backing off, while in self-defense, a person is actively trying to escape the situation, using force if necessary to ensure his or her own safety.
In some martial arts communities, street fighting and self-defense are often considered synonymous.
Strangulations are what some refer to as “blood chokes.” They aim to decrease blood flow to the brain, thus lowering blood pressure, which, if done for a long enough period of time, say eight to 10 seconds, elicits a reflexive response and victims go to sleep. Held for 30 seconds, permanent brain damage starts to occur. Two minutes, and it’s all over.
