With the Simpsons having already taken on mixed martial arts it should be no surprise to see more references to our beloved sport in future episodes.

In the second episode of season 24 which titled Treehouse of Horror XXIII, the third act of the episode titled ‘Bart and Homer’s Excellent Adventure’ follows Bart quest to buy a comic book from 1974 for 25c instead of $200, which he achieves by using Professor Frink’s Machine to travel backward in time.

After having travelled back and read the comic book he ends up as Homer’s high school where he inadvertently changes history by stopping Marge and Homer becoming high school sweethearts and possibly preventing Bart from ever being born.

Fortunately for Bart he would still be alive and well in the present day but infinitely wealthier as he created an alternate reality where Marge ends up marrying Artie Ziff and Bart has now become ‘Bartie Ziff’.

Wanting to get revenge on Artie and win back Marge, 1973 Homer and present day Homer put their half brains together to try and takedown Ziff.

Unfortunately for them Artie has mastered the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which he uses to defeat the Homers.
